Description	Shell, through its Amberjack Pipeline joint venture with Chevron, has awarded a contract to Allseas to build and install the Rome pipeline, a 150-kilometre, 24-inch pipeline from Shell’s Green Canyon Block 19 platform to the Louisiana coast. The project includes engineering, procurement, and installation of the pipeline. The nearshore portion will be handled by Allseas' anchor barge Sandpiper starting in 2027, and the deepwater work will be done by the pipelay vessel Solitaire in 2028. The pipeline is expected to begin operations in 2028 and will also deliver crude from BP’s Kaskida project once it comes online in 2029.
