Information East Central Railway [ECR] - II has come up with ROR at Sasaram connecting GC to Ara-Sasaram line 8.95Km of East Central Railways with a ticket size of 470.11 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves construction of a new ROR at Sasaram to avoid surface crossing of busy GC Line and DFCCIL line. The current status of the project is under land-acquisition phase. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The proposed RFO between Sasaram Link Cabin station and Karwandia Station starts from the UP Loop of Karwandia Station and connect into the proposed Sasaram Link Cabin/Station after flying over existing railway track and DFCCIL track. This RFO is mainly for crossing passenger trains as well loaded/empty rakes from Karwandia towards Ara-Bikramganj. Need of the proposed flyover was felt due to construction of DFCCIL railway line between Sasaram and Karwandia Station. It has been proposed to avoid surface crossing of busy Grand Chord Line.
