Description

Description

The project consists of three components: 1) the replacement of the facility’s communication system; 2) the replacement of the sit/stand lift; and 3) the replacement of an Alenti Tub Chair. Rationale: 1) the new communication system will be an all-in-one wired VoIP communication platform which will increase safety and security for residents; 2) the replacement of the existing sit/stand lift is required as the existing equipment is beyond it’s life expectancy. The machine is showing pitting in the metal structure, as well as wear to the finishes presenting an infection control issue in the near future. The new equipment will enable safe transfer to be carried out by a single caregiver because it completely eliminates manual lifting; and 3) the replacement of the existing tub chair which is beyond it’s life expectancy with pitting in the metal and wear in the finishes presenting an infection control issue in the near future.
