Rossland - Centre Stargulch Reservoir Improvements

This project is for dam upgrades at the Centre Stargulch Reservoir consisting of: construction of toe berms at two sites in the same resorvoir, replacement of spillway structure, channel works, replacement of the deficient water treatment plant intake structure, and installation of a siren alarm system. The proposed project will have a direct impact on the City’s ability to prevent flooding as a result of dam failure. The Centre Stargulch Dams risk classification to “Very High”, noting the potential for loss of life and damage to the City’s water treatment plant, which is considered critical infrastructure.
