It is Metafuels' inaugural commercial deployment of its proprietary methanol-to-jet technology, aerobrew, aiming to produce commercial-scale e-SAF starting from 2030. The project benefits from Rotterdam's established methanol infrastructure, multimodal logistics, and skilled industrial workforce. The grant funding supports project development activities including front-end engineering and design (FEED), permitting, consents, and commercial development towards final investment decision (FID). |
