Round Top Rare Earths Project

USA Rare Earth is developing the Round Top deposit in Texas, the largest known U.S. source of heavy rare earth elements, gallium, and beryllium. The project includes a comprehensive mine-to-magnet supply chain spanning Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma, aiming to produce heavy rare earths such as dysprosium and terbium used in high-performance permanent magnets for defense systems, electric vehicles, and industrial machinery. The company has accelerated the commercial production timeline to late 2028 from 2030 due to faster-than-expected progress at its processing facilities and rising U.S. demand for critical minerals. A hydrometallurgical demonstration plant is set to start operations at its processing lab in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, in early 2026.
