Description

Description

This project is located along Route 36 from the U.S. 101 junction to the Trinity County line proposes to rehabilitate 32 drainage locations, which includes two fish passage locations. Fish passage projects include the removal of barriers that restrict or impede movement or migration of fish, and often benefit additional wildlife. Additional work on Route 36 in the Hydesville area between postmiles 2.8 and 3.2 includes: filling in sidewalk gaps on the north side of Route 36, fixing existing sidewalks, installing curb ramps, striping bi-directional bike and pedestrian lanes on the north side of Route 36, striping new crosswalks, and installing crosswalk lighting. On top of that, rapid flashing beacons and radar feedback signs will be installed for westbound traffic to increase crosswalk safety. Finally, a traffic census station will be upgraded east of Carlotta at postmile 7.45 (for traffic counts).
