Description
Description | A new eastbound flyover ramp on Route 58 in Suffolk, Virginia, is now open to drivers. It is part of the Virginia Department of Transportation's Southeastern Public Service Authority Interchange Improvements Project, aimed at enhancing safety for traffic accessing the SPSA Regional Landfill on Bob Foeller Drive. The single-lane flyover takes eastbound traffic over Route 58 and connects to the existing westbound entrance lane to the SPSA facility. The project cost is $30 million, funded by SPSA. Remaining work includes final modifications for permanent closure of the former median crossing, drainage improvements, and environmental stabilization. The project is scheduled for completion as early as fall 2026. |
