Route 9 and Route 70 Pavement Preservation Project

The New Jersey Department of Transportation is undertaking a pavement preservation project involving applying a sealant to improve the pavement surface on Route 9 and parts of Route 70. The project aims to extend the useful life of the roads while providing a smoother and safer drive for motorists. It includes daytime shoulder closures for sign installation and overnight lane closures for removing existing markings and applying the sealant. The project affects eight miles of pavement on Route 9 in Lacey, Berkeley, Pine Beach, and Beachwood, and parts of Route 70 in Ocean and Monmouth counties.
