Route 924 Bridge Replacement Projects

PennDOT is designing projects to replace three aging bridges crossing small runs feeding into the Catawissa Creek along Route 924 between Brandonville and Sheppton. The bridges will be replaced one at a time to preserve access to properties in between, with construction expected to take six to eight weeks per bridge. The project is planned to be bid out in May 2027, with construction starting later that year on the bridge nearest to Phinneyville Road. Full traffic detours are planned for each replacement, raising concerns among residents and township supervisors.
