Description

Description

ReS_EAU strengthens the network of cross-border actors born with TRIG_Eau for the dissemination of green infrastructures as tools for flood risk prevention and sustainable land management with positive effects in terms of landscape redevelopment, increase in biodiversity, improve water quality, increase of the filtering surface of the riverbed or basin. The specific objective is to spread among public institutions the knowledge necessary for the participatory planning of new urban spaces in response to climate change and flood risk by proposing a territorial development approach capable of bringing the divergent dynamics of the economic, social and natural system towards a "ecosystem" model which, from the general principles of sustainable development, leads to its concrete realization in the city and in the cross-border area, from the management-implementation level up to the strategic one. Such an approach is reflected in the project outputs which propose both demonstration interventions (SudS and hydraulic monitoring system) and strategic plans for the development and enhancement of the public-private network of actors, according to an integrated and multi-sectoral approach which takes the form of numerous joint training, information and concertation activities. Res_EaU acts on a local scale but with a perspective that embraces the complexity of the cross-border area, building an innovative and clear vision of how to implement more effective public policies, in collaboration with the private sector, to lay the foundations for a path that gives more space and more power to the cross-border community. To this end, the partnership represents administrations, GIPs, academic centers and businesses, i.e. all the players necessary for the construction of strategic alliances for the promotion of projects and investments that can change the way of thinking, planning and living in our cities.
