Description | Main objective : Since June 2005, Espace 36 and Dover Arts Development have worked together to establish cross-border contemporary art projects. The partners want to enhance knowledge and exchanges from both sides of the Channel through joint artistic research, to address not only contemporary artistic creation in the cross-border area but also the connection of the local residents with their region. RESIDER/RESIDE thus aims to strengthen cross-border co-operation between contemporary art professionals, to create a dialogue between artists and an understanding of their respective socio-cultural perspectives and to offer a wider knowledge of each region for the artists, partners and audiences. Main actions : - Selection of two artists for a joint artist-in-residence programme in Nord-Pas de Calais en Kent (15 days in the UK and 15 days in France) - Implementation of mediations oriented towards the relations with the public and the artists, in France and in the UK - Organisation of an exhibition in Saint-Omer - Organisation of an exhibition in Douvres |
