The plant will use agricultural waste as fuel and sell 2.5MW of power to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) under the Small Power Producers (SPP) Program. The PPA was signed on May 30, 1996 and began selling power to EGAT as of June 1, 1997. EGAT signed a "non-firm" contract with the project company. Nominal levelized tariffs are set 1.29bht/Kwh. Estimated project cost is US$12.5 million (US$1.0 million per MW). |
