Description	The Ruby Pipeline is a 683-mile natural gas pipeline stretching from the Opal natural gas hub in southwestern Wyoming through northern Utah and Nevada to Malin, Oregon. Built during the shale gas boom and entering service in 2011, it can transport up to 1.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day. The pipeline filed for bankruptcy in 2022 due to expiring long-term contracts and changing market conditions, and was subsequently acquired by Tallgrass Energy. The pipeline is now considered a key piece of infrastructure to supply natural gas for a proposed hyperscale data center and energy campus in Box Elder County, Utah, which aims to use the pipeline's unused capacity to power energy-intensive AI facilities.
