Description | A local private company Kaidi Electric Power was granted a contract to build and operate a 30MW biomass power plant in Rucheng County, Hunan Province. When construction commenced was not reported. The total investment was US$ 34.84 million (RMB 219.92 million) and Kaidi had a 100% stake in the project. The capital consisted of equity of US$ 10.45 million (RMB 65.976 million) contributed by Kaidi and debt of US$ 24.39 million (RMB 153.944 million) raised from a local public bank. A special purpose vehicle, Rucheng County Kaidi Green Energy Development Company Limited was set up to perform the project. A great deal of construction had been finished by Sep 2012. |
