Description | On October 17, 2015, an agreement was signed between the Rugao City Investment Co., Ltd. and a local private company Nantong City Tongyuan Waste Water Treatment Company Limited to upgrade the 1st and 2nd phases of the Tongyuan Wastewater Treatment Plant and build the 3rd phase. As the BOT sponsor of the 1st phase of the Plant, Tongyuan won the project through direct negotiation. Following the expansion, the total treatment capacity of the plant would be 1,000,000 tons per day. The total investment was US$ 58.99 million (RMB 385.62 million) and Tongyuan had a 100% stake in the project. The concession term was 30 years. |
