Rugby Canada in partnership with the City of Langford, is proposing the construction of a new High Performance Training Centre, in order to have enough training and preparation space for all Rugby Canada teams to train in one location. The proposed expansion would construct a 19,000 square foot two-storey High Performance Training Centre that would be located near to the existing Centre of Excellence. The new Centre would include a 7,000 square foot gymnasium, 1,500 square foot medical clinic; change rooms with shower and bathroom facilities; a wet-area recovery room with hydro-therapy facilities; kitchen/dining and lounge area; meeting rooms; office and storage space; recovery and stretching room; performance analysis and computer suite; six 1 bedroom studio units; therapy clinic, reception area and a Canada Rugby Hall of Fame.
