The EU is experiencing four global transitions at the same time - green, digital, industrial and foreign policy. Against this background, and despite the fact that the EU is attributed with insurmountable internal differences, a normal process of exchange of views between allies and partners takes place within the Union, which ultimately ends with reaching agreements and points of balance. With the implementation of the project RATED, the participating partners aim to draw attention to the EU and to support and facilitate the wider participation of its citizens in the process of creating and promoting policy opportunities for public and intercultural engagement and volunteering, by thus promoting a sense of understanding of how the Union is developing. It is extremely important that citizens believe in the values and goals of the union, contribute to European unity and overcome the growing Euroscepticism due to dynamic geopolitical processes. Citizens from 6 cities will be ‘united’ within the project activities. Part of the planned events include activities inspired by the NEB initiative. The project’s objectives are to: - raise awareness of the importance of reinforcing the European integration process based on solidarity and overcoming the inequality among the young and marginalized groups; - achieve a better understanding of the common history and values, as well as the Union’s aim to promote peace and prosperity; - improve conditions for civic and democratic participation at EU level, providing opportunities for social involvement and volunteering; - promote intercultural dialogue; - address the challenges of protecting citizens' fundamental rights, democracy, the rule of law and environmental sustainability from high-risk AI; - consider the general conceptual level and direction of movement of Europe as an even more integrated, bloc economic player, in competition with other centres of the global economic player, in competition with other global centres.
