Description | This is a $110 million state and federally-funded county project that replaced the Rumson Road/CR 520 movable bridge over the Shrewsbury River between Rumson and Sea Bright. The new bridge opened to traffic last summer. The project includes improvements such as a new traffic signal at the intersection of Route 36 in Sea Bright, improvements to roadways, drainage, curb, sidewalk, highway lighting, and parks in both Sea Bright and Rumson. Final milling and paving work is underway, requiring lane closures on Route 36. |
