Description

Description

The project involves the development of the Runnymede Healthcare Centre Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) Centre of Excellence, consisting of two purpose-built facilities designed to provide specialized mental health care for first responders and frontline healthcare workers affected by post-traumatic stress injuries. The project includes the construction of Station N°. 3434 in Toronto, a five-storey urban clinical hub offering outpatient assessment, therapy, addiction treatment, peer support, family services, and virtual care, as well as the Caledon Recovery Centre, a residential treatment facility in the Region of Peel with approximately 40 beds for intensive recovery programs, therapy, wellness services, and outdoor rehabilitation activities. The facilities are intended to establish Canada's first dedicated PTSI treatment centre for these professionals, with the project being delivered using a design-bid-build procurement model.
