The project is intended to contribute to improving the reproductive health of the poorer population in the regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and northern Punjab (NP) (development policy objective). The aim of the FC measure is to improve care and increase demand among target groups in KP for reproductive health products and services, particularly in rural areas. At the same time, the number of private health facilities that offer satisfactory quality reproductive health services is to be increased. Like the previous project, the program is to be based on the concept of social marketing and social franchising and will be implemented by the internationally recognized non-governmental organization (NGO) Greenstar/Social Marketing Pakistan (Greenstar/SMP). The total costs for the three-year implementation of the project are estimated at around EUR 16.09 million. The FC funds of EUR 14.50 million will finance the foreign exchange costs in full and part of the national implementation costs. The difference to the total costs will be financed from the expected sales revenues from contraceptives and services amounting to EUR 1.59 million.
