The program¿s general objective is to improve the living conditions of the population of El Salvador through the provision of adequate water and sanitation services. The specific objectives are to: (i) expand W&S coverage with sustainable systems, with emphasis on rural areas with high levels of extreme poverty; (ii) contribute to the sustainable management of water resources as the basis for the sustainability of W&S services; and (iii) improve the efficiency and sustainability of the W&S services provided by ANDA. To achieve these objectives, the program is structured in three components Component 1. Rural water and sanitation projects with integrated water resources management. Component 2.
