Description | The project involves the funding, design, construction, operation and transfer of the proposed Rwabura and Thiririka dams and associated irrigation infrastructure. The dams are to be located in Kiambu County, Gatundu sub-County, which borders Nairobi County to the south. The 50m-high Rwabura Dam will be located in Rwabura River. The 70m-high Thiririka Dam will be constructed in the Thiririka River basin.The two dams will be utilized for irrigation purposes. The successful bidder will also deliver related infrastructure for hydropower production and other downstream uses such as the irrigated agriculture, water supplies and flood control among others. |
