Rwanda - Integrated Household Living Condition Survey Project

Integrated Household Living Condition Survey (EICV4) is a project based on statistical capacity development efforts of the national statistical system, financed by the Rwandan Government, with coordinated support from development partners. It aims to ensure (i) field data collection and data capture, processing, editing and tabulation; and (ii) in-depth thematic analysis and reports dissemination. The present project is expected to improve the quality and coverage of official statistics produced by Rwanda's national statistical system and contribute to increased efficiency in economic management, improve the monitoring of progress towards the achievement of the MDGs and the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals and the incidence of poverty. The project has three main components, the first of which is related to the preparations for the survey. The African Development Bank grant, which should be complemented by donations from other development partners, should be used for the implementation of the other two components, namely: (i) support for the collection activities of the African Development Bank; data for EICV4; and (ii) support for the production of in-depth thematic analyzes of the EICV4 data. The last mentioned component deals with the analysis, publication and appropriate dissemination of data collected in the field, for the final users.
