Rwanda - Public Investment Programming and Management System Institutional Support Project (PARSPGIP)

This intervention concerns the Support Project for the Strengthening of Public Investment Programming and Management System (PARSPGIP). It aims to improve the management of development in order to effectively combat poverty. The project is organized around four components, namely: (i) capacity building of the Central Office for Projects and External Financing (CEPEX) in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN); (ii) strengthening the capacities of the Central Planning Department, and the Provincial Planning and Finance Departments of the Ministry of Local Administration and Social Affairs (MINALOC); (iii) capacity building of the Directorate of Human Resources and Support Services of the Ministry of Gender and Women's Advancement (MIGEPROFE); as well as (iv) project management and monitoring. The main expected results are the improvement of mechanisms for mobilizing external financing resources and the process of programming and managing public investments.
