Rwanda - The Poverty Reduction Strategy Support Program III (PRSP III)

The Poverty Reduction Strategy Support Program (PRSSP) III follows the implementation of the PRSSP I and II programs which have allowed the AfDB to help the government of Rwanda lay the groundwork for the acceleration the growth of the private sector, the development of the business climate, the export sector, the privatization of state-owned enterprises, etc. It is aligned with Rwanda's 2008-2012 Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (SDERP) and the Bank's 2008-2011 Country Strategy Paper (CSP). The purpose of the program is to contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the two SDERP flagship programs: sustainable growth of employment and exports, and improved governance, as stated in the CSP.
