Description | Cheniere Energy Partners' subsidiary, Sabine Pass Liquefaction Stage V (SPLV), has signed a lump sum, turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Bechtel Energy for Phase 1 of the SPL Expansion Project. The project includes the development of Train 7, a boil-off gas re-liquefaction unit, and other supporting facilities integrated with the existing Sabine Pass LNG terminal. Phase 1 is expected to provide more than 6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG production after debottlenecking. The project is located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, US, and aims for a final investment decision by early 2027, pending regulatory approvals and financing. |
