Sacramento MLB Stadium and Mixed-Use Development

planned

A local Sacramento group, known as the Sacramento Pitch, is launching a campaign to secure a Major League Baseball expansion team by building a new stadium and surrounding mixed-use developments in West Sacramento, near the current Sutter Health Park. The project involves assembling $800 million in land and private investment, with commitments from local Indian communities and access to $1 billion in public funding. The plan includes either building a new stadium next to the existing one and then demolishing the old stadium or tearing down the existing stadium to build a new one on the same site. The project awaits a lead investor to finalize design and funding.
