Description | The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bidders to carry out Contract 2 for the Sacramento River East Levee. Contract 2 entails construction of 1.8 miles of varying types of seepage cutoff walls, including open trench soil-bentonite and slag cement-cement-bentonite cutoff walls, deep mix method cutoff walls and jet grout cutoff walls. Construction of the cutoff walls is along discontinuous reaches of the levee within the Miller Park, Little Pocket and Big Pocket areas of Sacramento. It also involves the removal and replacement of City of Sacramento Sump 63 in the Big Pocket and removal, handling and disposal of contaminated soils. |
