Description
Description | Sacramento State has reached an agreement with the California Exposition (Cal Expo) to build a new stadium on the former Cal Expo horse racing track, about three miles north of the university campus. The existing grandstand at the horse racing track will be retained to form the structure of the new stadium, which the university hopes to open in time for the 2026 college football season. The project follows a pivot from an original plan to build a new multi-purpose stadium on campus, with Populous appointed in September 2024 to create conceptual designs. |
