SAFE – strengthening local resilience and solidarity through community-based civil protection and awareness in Europe

ongoing

The “SAFE” project (Solidarity and Awareness for Emergencies) aims to strengthen local resilience and crisis preparedness in European municipalities through transnational cooperation and inclusive community engagement. Bringing together partners from Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Latvia, and Ukraine, the project promotes the exchange of good practices, immersive learning (via a virtual reality simulation), and joint public awareness initiatives. Activities include a cybersecurity conference, symbolic tree planting, educational hikes, and international conferences. The project enhances citizens’ understanding of emergency response, supports vulnerable groups, and fosters long-term cooperation among towns to build a safer, more united Europe.
