The objective of the Project is the construction and commissioning of a new Safe and Secure Truck Parking Area (SSTPA) at the Zaragoza Logistics Platform - Plaza, following the European standard of quality, security, and service level. The SSTPA is located in Plaza, the biggest Freight Village in Europe, at the confluence of the A2 national highway (TEN-T Network - Mediterranean Corridor) with the Z40 Zaragoza ring road to the southeast. The SSTPA has a total area of 37,838 m2 and will be divided into 2 functional zones: 1) truck workshop and, 2) truck parking. The New SSTPA will extend throughout an approximate surface of 18,000m2, providing capacity for 136 parking spaces and including a service building for drivers and users. It has been designed to be certified as Platinum, according to the EU Standard for SSTPA. In terms of Security, it will include differentiated public access, 25 Lux lighting, perimeter fencing of >1.8m, 24/7 video surveillance, security personnel, etc. In terms of Service level, it will include toilets and showers for men and women, regular cleaning service, hot-cold water, hand soap available, garbage and recycling bins, clear safety signage, emergency contact data, vending machines, rest room with microwave, free Wi-Fi, electrical connections, laundry room, etc.
