General objective: to make Brussels/Antwerp/Charleroi/Madrid/Seville/Barcelona Safer Cities for Girls Specific objectives: - To participatorily analyse GBV-related problems and solutions in Brussels/Antwerp/Charleroi/Madrid/ Seville/Barcelona, by empowering & training a diverse group of youth (15-24y) - To challenge social norms on GBV by influencing the 6 cities local authorities’ GBV prevention policies & actions, and by raising the 6 cities’ young population’s awareness on GBV - To maximise the potential to scale up the Safer Cities for Girls model throughout the EU Activities - Analytical: impact assessment, app, Town Hall Meeting - Training: Champions of Change training - Mutual learning: exchange - Awareness-raising, information & dissemination: advocacy, campaign, manual, conference Type and number of persons benefiting directly and indirectly from the project - Direct: 100 young people in the 6 cities - Indirect: 15.000 young people living in the 6 cities Expected results - 100 young people in the 6 cities are Champions of Change (ChoC) - 10.000 girls and young women are listened to regarding their/their peers safety in the city - Local authorities in the 6 cities have increased awareness on GBV in the city - 15.000 young persons in the 6 cities, have increased awareness on GBV in the city - Min 3 additional (local) EU Member State authorities have increased knowledge & willingness to apply the Safer EU Cities for Girls model Type and number of deliverables to be produced - 9.500 Safer Cities for Girls app survey responses - 3 impact assessment reports: M&E report, campaign impact report, policy impact report - 1 Town Hall Meeting with 500 young participants in Brussels - 1 ChoC recommendations policy report - 6x12 training days on GBV in the city with the 6 cities ChoC - 9 ChoC training modules - 2 staff field visits - 6x4 advocacy meetings with local authorities in the 6 cities, based on the ChoC recommendations - 1 campaign on GBV - 1 Manual - 1 Summit
