Description

Description

The overarching objective of PT SIC VIII is to help children and young people navigate the novel challenges and opportunities associated with digital technologies, to make them more media-literate and resilient digital citizens, and to continue to combat CSAM and other illegal content online. PT SIC VIII will continue to operate its awareness raising centre in which children, parents, and educators will be able to access various resources containing age-appropriate content from online posts with best practices to MOOCs. PT SIC VIII will also continue to develop its CIS Cybersecurity Lab, a collaborative lab which draws on gamification strategies to raise awareness about the risks and opportunities associated with digital technologies. Throughout its several events and campaigns, PT SIC VIII will continue to develop awareness-raising initiatives directly with its target audiences. PT SIC VIII will continue developing and running the Youth Hub, its youth panel where children and young people can share their online experiences and engage in debates about current digital trends and will continue to draw on these experiences for developing its activities. While aiming at reaching minors from various socio-economic backgrounds, there will be an emphasis on vulnerable groups. To help parents, educators, and children in dealing with issues related to children’s use of digital technologies, PT SIC VIII will continue to operate its helpline, and efforts will be made to strengthen the cooperation with the national 116111 service, a member of PT SIC’s Advisory Board, to coordinate their joint endeavors in preventing and addressing cyberbullying. PT SIC VIII will also continue operating its hotline for receiving, analyzing, and processing CSAM and other forms of illegal content, in close collaboration with the INHOPE network, and while continuing to be an important national alert platform within the ICCAM technical infrastructure.
