Description
Description | The project ensures the continuation of the Safer Internet Centre Czech Republic (SIC CZ) as a one-stop-shop for reliable and age appropriate information and resources on online safety and media literacy. At the same time, it further supports and develops professional counselling and crisis intervention services of two helplines for children and youth in need (and for their parents, teachers and professionals working with kids alike). Finally, the action substantially contributes to the operation of the STOPonline.cz hotline run to tackle illegal and harmful digital content. The overall objective here is to support children and youth to tackle the challenges associated with the use of technologies and to empower them to become competent, skilled and resilient digital citizens. All proposed activities are fully compliant with the principal European strategies and policies that shaped the framework of the call. All its priorities and objectives are soundly implemented through 8 interrelated work packages. Milestones and deliverables are based on experience from previous Safer Internet projects and represent realistically achievable commitments. The proposal contains a list of specific measurable KPIs to meet. The project introduces effective tools and methods for conveying messages to individual target groups in a form and scope that fully reflect their needs and situation. Modern education and awareness approaches will be supported, including game elements to promote a positive online experience. This application is the successor of three previous projects led by the CZ.NIC Association. We build the consortium on the principles, ideas, knowledge, skills and passion for online safety and media literacy as the previous. CZ.NIC is the project coordinator. The other beneficiaries are: Linka bezpečí (LB); Dětské krizové centrum (DKC); and the People in Need (the JSNS programme). The total eligible expenses will be claimed within 18 months starting on 7/2024. |
