Safer Internet Centre Czech Republic This project is a direct successor of the Actions realized in 2018-2020 and 2021 under CEF Telecom by CZ.NIC and Linka bezpečí. The existing consortium has been expanded by the Člověk v tísni organisation and Dětské krizové centrum. The main objective is to strengthen the operation of SIC CZ, address priority topics related to the use of technologies and digital services by children and youth, increase Safer Internet awareness on the risks and challenges connected with the online world, support activities of national helplines and ensure the operation of a hotline tackling with harmful and illegal content on the Internet. The priorities and objectives defined by the call are implemented through 8 work packages (WPs). The following activities are key ones to meet the call: organizing Safer Internet Day; creation of courses and webinars on media literacy; education of teachers, lecturers and children; release of audio-visual and printed resources to address selected topics (children's digital rights including); operation of Media Literacy Weeks; introduction of a TV miniseries on digital challenges; launch of a new communication and distribution portal of SIC CZ; introducing an EDU video game; publication of Safer Internet book; organization of conferences; ensuring the operation of the awareness centre, helplines and hotlines in general. The project will be implemented by professionals with relevant experience. This will be done in accordance with a detailed work plan, based on the principles of a sound project management, within the approved decision-making processes and fully in compliance with the Grant Agreement. Milestones and deliverables are set on experience from previous projects and represent realistically achievable commitments. The total eligible expenses of 1 473 377.16 EUR will be claimed over a period of 24 months starting on 7/2022. CZ.NIC is the coordinator of the project.
