Safer Internet France aims to continue activities implemented since 2009 by the consortium composed of TRALALERE (Awareness), e-Enfance (Helpline), Point de Contact (Hotline) and further cement the position of the Centre as national operator on online safety and awareness. Each partner has over 15 years’ experience in the field, which has allowed for strong networks at national and European level, and the skill sets and processes for delivering activities set out in the project description. Taking onboard existing tools and resources to enhance them, the consortium will optimise its representational stand-point, strengthen Safer Internet brands and foster collective support. The Action aims at continuing to run a Safer Internet Centre in France providing: 1. An awareness centre (Internet Sans Crainte), to raise awareness among youth, parents, educators and professionals working with youth and empower them to master their digital life, developing and disseminating awareness toolkits and services, in cooperation with third parties. 2. A Helpline (3018) to give advice and support to children, parents and other adults concerned on issues related to children’s use of digital technologies and services. The Helpline aims to provide support services for youth & parents encountering harmful contacts. 3. A hotline (Point de contact) to receive and handle reports of illegal content online, primarily child sexual abuse material, and obtain its removal from the Internet, with stakeholders such as law enforcement, Internet Service and hosting providers, tech companies, INHOPE. Whilst remaining independent, they will work hand in hand thanks to a Coordination Committee accompanied by an Advisory Board with national stakeholders. The SIF will continue to implement a European approach through active contribution to the Better Internet For Kids Platform and Insafe-INHOPE events, sharing good practice & resources.
