Description | This project proposes to provide safety enhancements at the following locations: 1. NY25A (Northern Boulevard) at Community Drive in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County. Extend the NY25A eastbound ramp by adding an acceleration lane on Community Drive. 2. NY109 (Fulton Street) at Main Street in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County. Extend eastbound and westbound left turn lanes. 3. NY27 (Sunrise Highway) from Belmont Avenue to Hubbards Path in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County. Diamond grinding of the concrete pavement surface to improve the skid resistance. 4. NY25 (Jericho Turnpike) at CR14 (Harned Road/Indian Head Road) in the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County. Add a second eastbound left turn lane. 5. Sunken Meadow Parkway in the vicinity of Old Northport Road in the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County. Concrete pavement repair and diamond grinding to improve the skid resistance. |
