Sagamok Anishnawbek Water Infrastructure

The project will upgrade the drinking water distribution and storage systems in the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation in Ontario. The work will involve extending and looping the existing closed watermain by 1,230 metres, adding fire hydrants along the new section, swabbing and flushing the entire watermain system, and upgrading the infrastructure in the two pump houses by replacing 1 generator, piping and three water pumps. Additionally, the project will rehabilitate the local water tower by recoating the exterior with a three-coat system, overcoating the external monorail, and perform localized repairs inside the dry riser. The project will improve the delivery of drinking water, allow future community demand to be met, address health and safety concerns associated with a closed watermain, support better fire protection and ensure alignment with provincial standards
