Saint Andrews - Market Wharf Rehabilitation - Phase 2

This project consists of rehabilitating the Town of Saint Andrews’ wharf to address structural integrity and safety concerns of the aging infrastructure. The scope of work on the wharf includes removing most of the existing wooden structure and installing new concrete caissons and deck. The new structures will be constructed 0.5 metre higher to mitigate future sea level rise. The project also includes rehabilitating the wharf trestle and pier head. This project is phase 2 of a 2-phased project to rehabilitate the market square and wharf. This project will increase the structural capacity to adapt to climate change impacts and extreme weather, as well as provide residents and tourists with continued, safe, access to the historical and cultural community hub.
