Description

The project pursues two objectives. The first is to develop the healthcare offer (intensive care and outpatients’ clinic) available to the Palestinian population of East Jerusalem, thanks to new energy-efficient and resilient infrastructure to the effects of climate change. The second is to strengthen medical training within Saint Joseph Hospital to improve the skills of healthcare staff.Supported by the European Union, the PEEB Med (Programme for Energy Efficiency in Buildings in the Mediterranean) has proposed energy efficiency measures based on the energy consumption data of existing buildings. These measures target both existing and new areas, with a focus on enhancing the thermal performance of non-insulated sections to minimize heating and cooling losses.
