Description | Statistics on plant protection products (PPP) have been collected since reference year 2011 under Regulation (EC) No 1185/20094. Until 2025 (reference period 2020-2024), under Regulation (EC) No 1185/2009, Slovenia collected and transmitted to Eurostat PPP use data for one year out of a five-years reference period, and for a list of crops selected by the country according to the most representative crops and active substances used in the country. Regulation (EU) 2022/23795 on statistics on agricultural input and output (SAIO) replaces the Regulation (EC) No 1185/2009 from 1st of January 2025. During the period 2025 to 2027, the PPP use data shall be collected once for reference year 2026. The data collection shall cover a common list of crops for all Member States. The purpose of this project is building the capacity for using administrative sources to collect data on the use of plant protection products in agriculture for the reference year 2026 in compliance with Commission Implementing Regulation 2023/1537 Annex 1, Dataset 2 ‘Use of Plant protection products in agriculture’. The data and related metadata have to be transmitted to Eurostat by the single-entry point services (EDAMIS) by the legal deadline of 31.12.2027. |
