Salaverry Project Bond

The proposed financing consists of a 20-year A/B Bond for Salaverry Terminal Internacional (STI), a concessionaire of the primary multi-purpose and bulk port in Trujillo, northern Peru. Under a 30-year concession agreement granted in 2018, STI must upgrade its infrastructure and port equipment. Proceeds from the A/B Bond will refinance the existing construction facility with long-term financing. Through this investment, IDB Invest will enable the project to accommodate increased traffic volumes, further integrating STI’s hinterland with international trade while also lowering logistics costs and enhancing the region’s competitiveness.
