Salem Fire Department Fire Truck Acquisition

completed

The Salem Fire Department faced significant delays and shortages in acquiring new fire trucks due to manufacturing delays and increased costs post-pandemic. They recently dedicated a new fire truck, purchased mostly stock vehicles with a few custom upgrades from Sutphen, a small manufacturer in Dublin, Ohio, which delivered two fire trucks in less than a year. The department spent just over $3 million for two new trucks and other equipment, including three new ambulances.
