"Pyramide International was funded in 1989 and handles the international sales of around 20 films per year, roughly 75% of which are French or European. From its very creation, the company has concentrated on ""film d'auteur"" and has handled the international sales of great directors such as Manoel de Oliveira, Claire Denis, Catherine Breillat, Benoît Jacquot, Youssef Chahin, Patrice Chéreau, Tony Gatlif, Naomi Kawase, Deny Arcand, Silvio Soldini, Elia Suleiman, Andrey Zviaguinstev. Pyramide International has also always had a special attention for young directors and its catalogue of films consits of several Golden Cameras of Cannes. Parallel with its international sales activities, Pyramide is also an independent French distributor releasing around 12 to 15 films per year from well-known directors such as Emmanuel Mouret and Céline Sciamma to younger talents. Like the past years, Pyramide International will continue its mission as one of the most important French sales agents of independent films. Our line-up for Cannes 2022, with 7 films selected in different categories, will as usual include films by renowned directors and newcomers: Metronom by Alexandru Belc (Un certain regard), Dodo by Panos H. Koutras (Cannes premiere), My Imaginary Country by Patricio Guzman (Special screening), The Worst Ones by Lise Akoka & Romane Gueret (Un certain regard), La Jauria by Andrés Ramírez Pulido (La semaine de la critique) et Les Harkis by Philippe Faucon (La quinzaine des réalisateurs)."
