Description | The Salt Rising Road project is a hybrid battery energy storage system (BESS) and solar energy project located in Allegany County, New York. It has a capacity of up to 5 MW AC and can discharge over 4 hours, totaling 20 MWh of battery energy storage capacity. The project is expected to be eligible for incentives under the NYSERDA NY-Sun Program and Retail Storage Incentive Program, and to receive compensation under New York's Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) mechanism.
