The project includes the installation of four new gantries to hold state-of-the-art electronic information boards that will provide live traffic and travel updates to improve safety and journey reliability along the A38 corridor. Additionally, ducts have been installed beneath the road surface to house new cabling linking the tunnel to the Tamar Bridge and nearby control buildings. The project also includes temporary suspension of works during certain periods and scheduled resurfacing works on the A38 westbound between St Budeaux and the Tamar Bridge Toll Plaza. |
