Description | The proposed IFC investment is a financing package of up to US$112.5 million, composed by an A-loan of up to US$66 million for IFC’s own account, a B1-loan of up to US$31.5 million, and a parallel loan of up to US$15 million. The proposed financing package intends to support the development of a US$205.5 million agro-industrial complex, including soybean crushing plant and warehouses at Berth 4 of the Umm Qasr Port in Iraq (the Project). The project will have a full corporate guarantee from Tiryaki Agro Gida Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (“Tiryaki” or the “Sponsor”) which is a leading agricultural commodity trading company in Türkiye. Sama Al-Manar for General Trading Company (the “Project Company) of which Tiryaki is a shareholder, will execute the Project. Tiryaki is a previous IFC portfolio client, with 2 previous transactions. |
