Description

Description

This initiative involves the construction of the San Isidro Solar PV plant, located in Malpaisillo municipality, Leon department, Nicaragua. The San Isidro solar project, featuring a 14MWac (16.33MWdc) planned capacity and a 1.1 MWh storage facility, strives to provide an annual energy output of 33,200MWh/year (P90) to the Malpaisillo substation, situated just 380 meters away. Supported by a 20-year power purchase agreement with ENATREL, the national transmission company, the project is on track for completion by November 2024. The anticipated annual energy production of 33,200 MWh/year (P90) is set to enhance 45,152 current and future grid connections. Moreover, the project is expected to reduce annual CO2-equivalent emissions by 20,949 tons, making a significant contribution to environmental sustainability. The total project cost is $12.5m, of which ElectriFi provided a loan for $1.88m. Bio-Invest will also collaborate for the financing of this initiative. The financial close date is December 2023. https://www.electrifi.eu/news/green-energy-investment-in-nicaragua-electrifi-and-bio-invest-collaborate-on-san-isidro-solar-project/ https://www.electrifi.eu/project/san-isidro-solar/
