Limits: Thornton Ave to Florida Ave Length: Approximately 7,885 feet District: 3 Community: East Hemet The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 7,885 feet of San Jacinto St from Thornton Ave to Florida Ave. San Jacinto St is classified as a local road south of Stetson Ave, and as a secondary highway north of Stetson Ave in the County of Riverside’s General Plan. San Jacinto St is a two-lane road and currently ranges from 20-64 feet wide with curb/gutter along various segments of the roadway. San Jacinto St is fully within County of Riverside between Thornton Ave to 375 feet north of Dixie Dr, 50% within County of Riverside and 50% within City of Hemet between 375 feet north of Dixie Dr and 130 feet north of Val Verde Dr and between Whittier Ave and 200 feet north of Central Ave, and fully with City of Hemet between 130 feet north of Val Verde Dr and Whittier Ave and between 200 feet north of Central Ave and Florida Ave. The proposed project will include removing the roadway south of Stetson Ave and placing back Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA), and cold planing the roadway north of Stetson Ave and placing back Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt. Additional improvements include: · Reconstruction of concrete cross gutters, spandrels, curb/gutter, and ADA deficient curb ramps · Upgrading the existing traffic signal at Stetson Ave to a camera detection system · Construction of new sidewalk to join existing segments between Lucerne Dr and Whitter Ave on the west side of the roadway · Reconstruction of driveways · Utility adjustments · Restriping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors · Salvage/removal and installation of new signs No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements (TCE) will be required to construct the proposed improvements. Permits to enter and construct (PEC) have been coordinated to obtain access for improvements within private property that are necessary to complete the project. The project improvements will be within the existing footprint of the roadway and will not raise the roadway profile.
